The following is the process we use when developing a website:
- Phase 1 – Planning: When it comes to creating an outline for the site you have a couple of options; you can create the outline yourself, Kitsap Web Design, LLC can plan the site organization for you, or we can work together to get it done. Generally this would include information like the type of pages you’d like to have on the site, the colors you would like to see on it, the type of sections or information you would like to have on each page. Then you write the text for the site.
- Phase 2 – Designing/Coding: Kitsap Web Design, LLC will work with the outline provided for the project to create the website you desire. We will keep you updated of progress along the way and work with you to get your website exactly as you want it and in the time frame set in our signed contract. This phase usually takes the longest to complete.
- Phase 3 – Implementation: The text and local images for the site are placed into the page template and formatted. Kitsap Web Design, LLC offers one round of revisions (with minimal text changes) during this phase, so you can make text edits and corrections after you see the text in the pages. Unless you are using Kitsap Web Design, LLC’s text writing services, we ask our clients to have all text ready to go by this point in the process to avoid extensions in getting your project completed.
- Phase 4 – Testing: Though basic testing of the site takes place in phases 2 and 3, Kitsap Web Design, LLC thoroughly tests the site after it has been completely assembled and revised. We test on multiple platforms as well as web browsers to ensure efficient coding and standard web code compliance.
